Privacy Policy for PathDay

1. Introduction

Minds Illuminated LLC (“Minds Illuminated,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the PathDay application (“the App”), related websites, and customer support services. This Privacy Policy is subject to change as the App evolves.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, as well as any future updates made in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or physical address through the core functionality of the App.

Personal information is collected only if you voluntarily provide it to us, such as when contacting customer support or submitting feedback or bug reports through in-app forms or external support channels. This information may include your email address, written feedback, and any screenshots or screen recordings you choose to upload.

If you choose to subscribe to newsletters or marketing communications in the future, we may collect your email address and any information you voluntarily provide for that purpose. Such information will be collected only with your explicit consent and used solely for sending communications you have opted into. You may unsubscribe at any time.

b. Usage and Diagnostic Data

We may collect limited, aggregated, and non-identifiable usage or diagnostic information, such as feature usage trends and performance data. This information is used solely to improve reliability, performance, and functionality of the App and cannot be used to identify individual users.

When you submit feedback or bug reports, we may also collect contextual diagnostic information such as app version, operating system version, device type, and platform to assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.

c. Data Stored in iCloud

If iCloud synchronization is enabled, your task data is stored in your private Apple iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit services. Minds Illuminated does not access, collect, store, or retain this data on its own servers.

d. Cookies and Web Based Support Tools

When you access customer support or feedback features that open web based forms or external support tools, those services may use cookies or similar technologies as part of their standard web functionality. These technologies may be used for security, session management, fraud prevention, and basic operational analytics by the service provider.

Minds Illuminated does not use these technologies for advertising, cross app tracking, or profiling users, and does not control how third party service providers implement their required cookies.

e. On-Device Intelligence

PathDay can read a task you type or dictate in plain language and fill in details such as a date, time, category, or priority. On supported devices this uses Apple Intelligence through Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework.

This processing happens entirely on your device. The text you enter is not sent to Minds Illuminated, to Apple’s servers, or to any third party, and it is not retained after the task is created. Audio memos are transcribed on your device in the same way.

These features are optional in the sense that PathDay does not depend on them. A built-in parser runs first on every device and handles dates, times, and similar details on its own. Apple Intelligence adds to that result where it can, and where it is unavailable, turned off, or unsupported, PathDay works exactly as it otherwise would.

f. Apple Health Data

PathDay can optionally connect a habit to Apple Health. This is off by default and you turn it on yourself, one habit at a time. If you link a habit to a Health category such as steps, sleep, or workouts, PathDay reads that category so the habit can complete itself, and it reads only the categories you pick. For habits you switch this on for, PathDay writes that habit’s own logged value, such as water or mindful minutes, and never anything you logged before you turned it on.

Health data stays on the device that read it. It is not sent to Minds Illuminated, is not included in PathDay’s iCloud sync, and is never used for advertising, sold, or shared with any third party. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing, then Apps.

3. How Information Is Used

• Provide and maintain core App functionality.
• Enable synchronization, backup, and restore through iCloud.
• Improve the App by analyzing aggregated usage trends.
• Respond to customer support requests and feedback submissions.
• Investigate bugs, crashes, and reported issues.
• Communicate with you regarding your submitted request, if contact information is provided.
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Third Party Services

PathDay relies on Apple provided services, including iCloud and App Store infrastructure. These services are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

Feedback and support submissions may be processed using third party tools used solely for customer support and issue tracking purposes. These third party services may operate as web based forms and may use cookies or similar technologies required for functionality, security, and service operation.

Minds Illuminated does not integrate third party advertising platforms, cross app trackers, or analytics services for marketing purposes. Any cookies or similar technologies used by support tools are limited to operational support functions and are not used by Minds Illuminated for tracking users across apps or services.

Aggregated usage or diagnostic information processed by third party services is not linked to an individual user.

If you voluntarily subscribe to marketing or informational communications, those communications are delivered using a third-party email service provider that processes email addresses solely for message delivery, subscription management, and compliance with unsubscribe requests.

5. Data Retention

Task data stored in iCloud remains under your control. You may delete this data at any time by removing the App or deleting individual items. Minds Illuminated does not maintain independent copies of your task data.

Information you voluntarily provide to us, such as support communications, feedback submissions, or attachments, may be retained only as long as necessary to address your request, improve the App, or fulfill legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request deletion of such communications at any time.

6. Pricing and Purchases

PathDay is free to use. Every feature is included at no cost, and there is no paid tier, subscription, or in-app purchase. Minds Illuminated does not collect or store any payment information.

If purchases are offered in the future, they would be handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store, and billing questions would be directed to Apple Support.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to information you voluntarily provide to us, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion.

Requests related to Apple ID data, iCloud data, or subscription information must be directed to Apple, as Minds Illuminated does not control or store that information.

8. Children’s Privacy

PathDay is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is subject to change. We may update it from time to time to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or business practices. When changes are made, the updated policy will be posted within the App or on our website, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly.

Your continued use of PathDay after any changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
